Political Director

Help lead the national strategy to grow College Republicans, support chapters, and expand our impact on campuses nationwide.

Job Overview

The College Republican National Committee is hiring a Political Director to our growing team. The Political Director is responsible for the CRNC's political efforts, communications, membership management, and other duties as assigned by the Chairman and Executive Director. The Political Director will develop and execute the CRNC’s political strategy and communications plan to expand our presence on campuses nationwide and grow the organization.

Essential Duties

Political Strategy Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive political strategy aligned with CRNC goals and objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize political opportunities, races, and issues significant to College Republicans.

Communications

  • Assist with development and execution of CRNC communications.
  • Assist with managing CRNC social media presence.

Membership Management & Chapter Support

  • Identify opportunities to establish new chapters and collaborate with existing chapters to increase membership and engagement.
  • Provide guidance and support to chapters for political events, rallies, and campaign activities.
  • Manage regional recruitment of volunteers and maintain strong relationships with chapter leaders.
  • Monitor chapter performance; provide regular updates to the National Chairman and Executive Director.
  • Collect and analyze membership data to inform targeted growth initiatives.

Grassroots Mobilization

  • Coordinate national grassroots efforts to engage and activate College Republicans.
  • Foster relationships with state/local parties, campaigns, and conservative organizations.
  • Collaborate with external partners to provide resources and training opportunities.

Political Outreach & Advocacy

  • Build relationships with elected officials, candidates, and influencers to enhance CRNC’s visibility and impact.
  • Advocate for policies aligned with CRNC’s mission through strategic partnerships and coalitions.
  • Monitor legislative developments and political trends and provide regular updates to CRNC leadership and chapters.

Etc.

  • Other work as assigned by the Chairman or Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in political campaigns, government affairs, or related work (paid or unpaid).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Boundaries: CRNC employees are forbidden from engaging in romantic or sexual relationships with current or prospective members, and CRNC vendors, volunteers, and staff.

Work Environment: The CRNC is a fully remote organization with occasional domestic travel required.
